ORDINANCE NO. NS-1306 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ESTABLISHING A LIABILITY INSURANCE FUND <br />AND A GENERAL INSURANCE FUND AND PROVIDING <br />FOR THE DEPOSIT OF MONEYS THEREIN AND EXPEN- <br />DITURE OF MONEYS THEREFROM. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Chapter 13 is hereby adopted and added to the Santa <br />Ana Municipal Code, to be entitled and to read as follows: <br /> <br />Chapter 13 <br /> <br />FUNDS <br /> <br />ARTICLE I. LIABILITY INSURANCE FUND <br /> <br />Section 13-1. Creation of Liability Insurance Fund. <br /> <br /> There is hereby created and established the Liability <br />Insurance Fund. <br /> <br />Section 13-2. Deposit of Moneys. <br /> <br /> The City Council may, from time to time, transfer to the <br />Liability Insurance Fund moneys from the General Fund or any other <br />fund which may be used for the purposes set forth in Section 13-3, <br />in such amounts as are necessary to establish such fund and main- <br />tain its solvency. The City Council may abolish said fund when the <br />purposes set forth in Section 13-3 have been satisified and no <br />further need exists for said Fund. <br /> <br />Section 13-3. Expenditure of Moneys. <br /> <br /> Moneys in the Liability Insurance Fund shall be expended <br />for payment of claims and judgments for damages incurred by the <br />City in the operation of a self-insured liability insurance program. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II. GENERAL INSURANCE FUND <br /> <br />Section 13-10. Creation of General Insurance Fund. <br /> <br /> There is hereby created and established the General <br />Insurance Fund. <br /> <br />Section 13-11. Deposit of Moneys. <br /> <br /> The City Council may, from time to time, transfer to the <br />General Insurance Fund moneys from the General Fund or any other <br />fund which may be used for the purposes set forth in Section 13-12, <br />in such amounts as are necessary to establish such fund and maintain <br />its solvency. The City Council may at any t~me transfer moneys from <br />said General Insurance Fund to any other appropriate fund or may <br />abolish said fund. <br /> <br />Section 13-12. Expenditure of Moneys. <br /> <br /> Moneys in the General Insurance Fund shall be expended <br />for expenses incurred by the City in the operation of a self-insured <br />liability insurance program, as well as a general insurance program, <br />including, but not limited to, wages, salaries and fringe benefits <br /> <br /> <br />
