REL:nr 12-28-76 ORDINANCE NO. NS-1345 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 751 FILED BY GEORGE YAMAMOTO REZONING PROPERTY FROM THE A1 AND 0 DISTRICTS TO THE R1 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 15-5-10 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 751, filed by George Yamamoto to rezone property, generally located on the south side of McFadden Avenue between the Santa Ana River and Harbor Blvd. from the A1 and 0 Districts to the R1 (Single- Family Residence) District, and said Commission has recommended approval of said application; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear- ing on said reclassification on published notice required by law, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the said property be reclassified from the A1 and 0 Districts to the R1 (Single-Family Residence) Dis- trict, and that such new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Ora'nge, California, described as follows: (1) FROM THE A1 DISTRICT TO THE R1 DISTRICT: That portion of the EAST HALF of the WEST HALF of the NORTHEAST QUARTER of the SOUTHWEST QUARTER of SECTION 15 in Township 5 South, Range 10 West, &M., lying westerly of the channel of the Santa Aha River, as conveyed to the Newbert Protection District by deed recorded November 18, 1910, in Book 194 at pages 168 and 169 of Deeds, in the office of the Recorder of Orange County, California; EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion lying northerly of the centerline of McFADDEN AVENUE. (2) FROM THE 0 DISTRICT TO THE R1 DISTRICT: That portion of the WEST HALF of the EAST HALF of the NORTHEAST QUARTER of the SOUTHWEST QUARTER of SECTION 15 in Township 5 South, Range lO West, S.B.B.&M., lying westerly of the channel of the Santa Ana River, as conveyed to the Newbert Protection District by deed recorded November 18, 1910, in Book 194 at pages 168 and 169 of Deeds, in the office of the Recorder of Orange County, California; EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion lying northerly of the centerline of McFADDEN AVENUE, is hereby reclassified from the A1 and 0 Districts to the R1 (Single-Family Residence) District and that Sectional District Map 15-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassification, in accordance with Exhibit A.~A. 751-A.
