REL: nr <br />2-14-77 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1348 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 756 <br />FILED BY THE SANTA ANA UNIFIED SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT REZONING PROPERTY FROM THE 0 <br />(OPEN SPACE LAND) DISTRICT TO THE Ri <br />(SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT, AND <br />AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 11-5-10 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of <br />and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. <br />756, filed by the Santa Aha Unified School District to rezone <br />property, generally located on the south side of Civic Center <br />Drive between Raitt Street and Western Avenue from the 0 (Open <br />Space Land) District to the R1 (Single-Family Residence) Dis- <br />trict, and said Commission has recommended approval of said <br />application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear- <br />ing on said reclassification on published notice required by <br />law, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, <br />and general welfare require that the said property be reclassi- <br />fied from the 0 (Open Space Land) District to the Ri (Single- <br />Family Residence) District, and that such new classification <br />will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa <br />Ana, County of Orange, California, described as: <br /> <br /> That portion of the Northwest quarter of the North- <br /> west quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 11, <br /> Township 5 South, Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M., in <br /> the City of Santa Ana, described as follows: Begin- <br /> ning at a point on the East line of Raitt Street <br /> (formerly Artesia Street) 40 feet South of the center- <br /> line of Civic Center Drive (formerly Hickey Street, <br /> also formerly Eighth Street); thence South along said <br /> East line of Raitt Street 281.75 feet to the N0rth <br /> line of Seventh Street; thence East along said North <br /> line 443.18 feet to the West line of Western Avenue; <br /> thence North along said West line 281.75 feet to a <br /> point 40 feet South of the centerline of Civic Center <br /> Drive; thence West 440.55 feet along a line parallel <br /> with and 40 feet South of said centerline, to the <br /> point of beginning. Excepting therefrom a spandrel <br /> shaped parcel of land bounded Easterly by said West <br /> line of Western Avenue, bounded Northerly by the North <br /> line of the property above described, bounded South- <br /> westerly by the arc of a curve concave Southwesterly <br /> having a radius of 25.00 feet and tangent to said <br /> Easterly and Northerly boundaries. ALSO EXCEPTING <br /> THEREFROM a spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded <br /> Northerly by the North line of the property above <br /> described, bounded Westerly by the East line of said <br /> Raitt Street, bounded Southeasterly by the arc of a <br /> curve concave Southeasterly, having a radius of 25.00 <br /> feet and tangent to said Northerly and Westerly boun- <br /> daries, <br /> <br /> reclassified from the O (Open Space Land) District <br /> (Single-Family Residence) District, and that Sec- <br /> <br />is hereby <br />to the Ri <br />tional District Map 11-5-10 is hereby amended to show said <br />reclassification, in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 756-A. <br /> <br /> <br />
