NS-]$97 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTIONS 41-377 and 41-395 OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADDING SECTION 41-120.1, to PROVIDE FOR USE OF PROPERTY IN THE C-2 AND C-3 ZONES AS A MISSION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding a section, to be numbered 41-120.1, which said section reads as follows: Sec. 41-120.1 Mission. A "Mission" is an establishment or building used for the purpose of carrying on humanitarian work and/or propagating the faith of a religious organization where one or both of the following activities occur: (1) meals are furnished to persons in need for free or for nominal consideration, or (2) overnight lodging is furnished to persons in need for free or for nominal consideration. Section 2: That section 41-377 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 41-377 Uses Permitted. Permitted uses are: (a) Ail uses permitted in the Cl district but subject to the conditions, restrictions and limitations of this district. (b) Advertising signs and structures including billboards. (c) Carnivals and circuses; provided, however, that no such use shall locate or operate longer than ten (10) days within a six-month period on the same recorded parcel. (d) Automotive garages, including body and fender repair, painting, and engine replacement. (e) Blueprinting, photoengraving, including all types of reproduction processes. (f) Enclosed storage, except mini-warehouses. (g) Nightclubs, bowling alleys, dance halls, skating rinks, sports stadiums, arenas and outdoor theaters; provided that no such establishment selling liquor or beer for consumption on the premises may locate or operate within three hundred (300) feet of any property zoned or used for residential or agricultural purposes without first obtaining a minor exception permit. No minor exception permit shall be required when property within three hundred (300) feet of an existing nightclub, bowling alley, dance hall, skating rink, sports stadium, arena or outdoor theater, selling liquor or beer for consump'~onon the premises subsequently is zoned or used for residential or agricultural purposes.
