NS-1418 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br />visions of chapters 4 through 13, inclusive, provided <br />that no such sign shall be altered, enlarged, recon- <br />structed, or repaired (except for normal maintenance) <br />unless it is made to conform to all requirements of <br />this article for a new sign. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4: That section 8-1265 of the Santa Aha Municipal <br />Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-1265. <br /> <br />Prohibiting advertising on public property <br />(Section 102). <br /> <br /> Section 102 of the Uniform Sign Code is hereby amended <br />by adding another paragraph, to read as follows: <br /> <br />No person except a public officer or employee in <br />performance of a public duty shall paint, paste, <br />print, nail, tack, or otherwise fasten any card, <br />banner, handbill, sign, poster, advertisement, or <br />notice of any kind on any curbstone, lamp post, pole, <br />hydrant, bridge, wall, or tree upon any public street, <br />or other public place, except as may be required or <br />permitted by law. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5: That section 8-1270 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-1270. Authority (Section 103(a)). <br /> <br /> Section 103(a) of the Uniform Sign Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Authority. The director of building safety is hereby <br />authorized and directed to enforce all the provisions <br />of this code. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6: That section 8-1280 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code, is hereby a~ended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-1280. Fees (Section 304) <br /> <br /> Section 304 of the Uniform Sign Code is hereby amended <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />Fees and charges for sign permits and plan checks shall <br />be established and regulated by resolution of the city <br />council. <br /> <br /> SECTION 7: That section 8-1290 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-1290. Wall signs (Section 903). <br /> <br /> Section 903 of the Uniform Sign Code is hereby amended <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />No wall sign shall project more than twelve inches <br />(12") over public property. If projecting, the bottom <br />of such sign shall be not less than eight feet (8') <br />above the level of the sidewalk or grade in%mediately <br />below. <br /> <br /> SECTION 8: That section 8-1300 of the Santa Aha Municipal <br />Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-1300.
