NS-1424 <br />Page 20 <br /> <br />ae <br /> <br />ce <br /> <br />d® <br /> <br />With the sliding sash in the normal posi- <br />tion, a concentrated load of 200 pounds <br />shall be applied separately to each member <br />incorporating a locking device, at a point <br />on the sash member within 6 inches of the <br />locking device, in the direction parallel <br />to the plane of the glass that would tend <br />to open the window. With the load re- <br />moved, apply the manipulation test de- <br />scribed in Subsection B, 3, 1, supra. <br /> <br />With the sliding sash in the normal posi- <br />tion, a concentrated load of 200 pounds <br />shall be applied separately to each sash <br />member incorporating a locking device, at <br />a point on the sash member within 6 inches <br />of the locking device in the direction <br />parallel to the plane of the glass that <br />would tend to open the window while, <br />simultaneously, an additional concen- <br />trated load of 75 pounds is applied in the <br />same area of the same sash member in the <br />direction perpendicular to the plane of <br />the glass toward the interior side of the <br />window.
