ORDINANCE NO. NS-1424 <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />Se <br /> <br />Ne <br /> <br />than four (4) inches in height, of a color <br />contrasting to the background and located so <br />they may be clearly seen and read. <br /> <br />At each driveway entrance to a multiple family <br />dwelling complex having four or more build- <br />ings, there shall be an illuminated diagram- <br />matic representation (plot plan) of the com- <br />plex which shows the location of the viewer <br />and the building units within the complex. <br /> <br />In multiple family dwelling complexes, any <br />building having a separate identifying factor <br />other than the street number shall be clearly <br />identified in the manner described in Subsec- <br />tion J, infra. Each individual unit of resi- <br />dence shall have a unit identifying number, <br />letter or combination thereof displayed upon <br />the door. <br /> <br />Buildings shall be numbered in such a manner <br />and sequence to meet with the approval of the <br />enforcing authority. <br /> <br />This section shall not prevent supplementary <br />numbering such as reflective numbers on street <br />curbs or decorative numbering but this shall <br />be considered supplemental only and shall not <br />satisfy the requirements of this section. <br /> <br />Maps of the complex shall be furnished to the <br />police and fire departments upon completion of <br />construction. The maps shall include building <br />identification and unit identification. <br /> <br />Ail exterior doors shall be equipped with a light- <br />ing device capable of providing at least one (1) <br />footcandle of light at the ground level during <br />hours of darkness. Lighting devices shall be pro- <br />tected by vandal resistant covers. <br /> <br />Aisles and passageways within multiple family <br />dwelling complexes shall be equipped with lighting <br />devices capable of providing at least .25 foot- <br />'candles of light at ground level during hours of <br />darkness. Lighting devices shall be protected by <br />vandal resistant covers. <br /> <br />Open parking lots and carports of multiple family <br />dwelling complexes shall be equipped with lighting <br />devices capable of providing at least one (1) <br />footcandle of light on the parking surface during <br />hours of darkness. Lighting devices shall be pro- <br />tected by vandal resistant covers. <br /> <br />Each residential unit of multiple family dwelling <br />complex shall have an enclosed parking space with <br />a garage door equipped as in Section 8-208 of this <br />Division. <br /> <br /> <br />
