At each driveway entrance to a multiple family dwelling complex having four or more build- ings, there shall be an illuminated diagram- matic representation (plot plan) of the com- plex which shows the location of the viewer and the building units within the complex. In multiple family dwelling complexes, any building having a separate identifying factor other than the street number shall be clearly identified in the manner described in Subsec- tion J, infra. Each individual unit of resi- dence shall have a unit identifying number, letter or combination thereof displayed upon the door. Buildings shall be numbered in such a manner and sequence to meet with the approval of the enforcing authority. This section shall not prevent supplementary numbering such as reflective numbers on street curbs or decorative numbering but this shall be considered supplemental only and shall not satisfy the requirements of this section. Maps of the complex shall be furnished to the police and fire departments upon completion of construction. The maps shall include building identification and unit identification. Ail exterior doors shall be equipped with a light- ing device capable of providing at least one (1) footcandle of light at the ground level during hours of darkness. Lighting devices shall be pro- tected by vandal resistant covers. Aisles and passageways within multiple family dwelling complexes shall be equipped with lighting devices capable of providing at least .25 foot- 'candles of light at ground level during hours of darkness. Lighting devices shall be protected by vandal resistant covers. Open parking lots and carports of multiple family dwelling complexes shall be equipped with lighting devices capable of providing at least one (1) footcandle of light on the parking surface during hours of darkness. Lighting devices shall be pro- tected by vandal resistant covers. Each residential unit of multiple family dwelling complex shall have an enclosed parking space with a garage door equipped as in Section 8-208 of this Division.
