NS-1433 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT <br /> APPLICATION NO. 794 TO REZONE <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br /> THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SEVENTEENTH <br /> STREET AND GRAND AVENUE <br />FROM THE R1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL), <br />R2 (LIMITED MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL), <br /> AND Cl (COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS) <br /> TO THE C5 (ARTERIAL COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT <br /> AND AMENDING SECTIONAL MAP NO. 7-5-9 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the real property located at the southwest <br />corner of Seventeenth Street and Grand Avenue and more <br />particularly described infra, is located within the R1 <br />(Single Family Residential), R2 (Limited Multiple Family <br />Residential), and Cl (Community Commercial) Districts and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 794 has been <br />filed to amend Sectional District Map No. 7-5-9 to rezone <br />such real property to the C5 (Arterial Commercial) District <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice <br />of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment Applica- <br />tion and has recommended approval thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public <br />hearing on the said Amendment Application on published <br />notice required by law and does now find that the public <br />necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the <br />said property to be reclassified as requested in the said <br />Amendment Application, and that the new classification will <br />not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the City <br />Council has reviewed and considered the information con- <br />tained in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 78-68, and, on the <br />basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a <br />significant effect on the environment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the <br />City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, <br />generally located at the southwest corner of Seventeenth <br />Street and Grand Avenue and more particularly described in <br />Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein as though <br />fully set fort~ is hereby reclassified from the R1 (Single <br />Family Residential), R2 (Limited Multiple Family Residential), <br />and Cl (Community Commercial) Districts to the C5 (Arterial <br />Commercial) District, and that Sectional District Map No. 7-5-9 <br />is hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance <br />with Exhibit AA 794-A. <br /> <br />the <br /> <br /> ADOPTED, this <br />following vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: <br /> NOES: <br /> ABSENT: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF T~E <br />APR OV S : <br /> <br />7th day of August , 1978, by <br /> <br />COUNCiLMEN:Ward, Brandt, Bricken, <br /> Evans, Garthe <br />COUNCILMEN :.
