NS-i440 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 796 <br />TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH <br />SIDE OF MCFADDEN AVENUE, BETWEEN NEWHOPE <br />STREET AND CORTA DRIVE, FROM THE A1 (GENE- <br />RAL AGRICULTURE) DISTRICT TO THE R2 (MULTI- <br />PLE FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT AND AMENDING <br />SECTIONAL MAP NO. 16-5-10 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the real property located on the north <br />side of McFadden Avenue, between Newhope Street and Corta <br />Drive, and more particularly described infra, is located <br />within the A1 (General Agriculture) District, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 796 has been <br />filed to amend Sectional District Map No. 16-5-10 to rezone <br />such real property to the R2 (Multiple Family Residence) <br />District, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice <br />of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment Applica- <br />tion and has recommended approval thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public <br />hearing on the said Amendment Application on published <br />notice required by law and does now find that the public <br />necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the <br />said property to be reclassified as requested in the said <br />Amendment Application, and that the new classification will <br />not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the City <br />Council has reviewed and considered the information con- <br />tained in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 78-101, and, on the <br />basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a signi- <br />ficant effect on the environment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the <br />City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, <br />generally located on the north side of McFadden Avenue, <br />between Newhope Street and Corta Drive, and more particularly <br />described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein as though fully set forth, is hereby reclassified <br />from the A1 (General Agriculture) District to the R2 (Multi- <br />ple Family Residence) District, and that Sectional District <br />Map No. 16-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassifi- <br />cation in accordance with Exhibit AA 796-A. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED, this <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />21st day of August <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: Ward, Brandt, 0rtiz, <br /> ]~va~s, Garthe <br /> <br />ABSENT: COUNCII~~~ <br /> MAYOR <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />, 1978, <br /> <br /> Yamamoto, <br /> <br />APPRDVED/ TO <br /> <br />KEITH L.
