NS-1457 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION <br />NO. 805 TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED <br />AT 222-224 NORTH NEWHOPE STREET, <br />FROM THE A1 (GENERAL AGRICULTURAL) <br />DISTRICT TO THE R2 (MULTIPLE FAMILY <br />RESIDENCE) DISTRICT AND AMENDING <br />SECTIONAL MAP NO. 9-5-10 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the real property located at 222-224 <br />North Newhope Street and more particularly described infra, <br />is located within the A1 (General Agricultural) District, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 805 has been <br />filed to amend Sectional District Map No. 9-5-10 to rezone <br />such real property to the R2 (Multiple Family Residence) <br />District, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice <br />of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment Applica- <br />tion and has recommended approval thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public <br />hearing on the said Amendment Application on published <br />notice required by law and does now find that the public <br />necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the <br />said property to be reclassified as requested in the said <br />Amendment Application, and that the new classification will <br />not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the City <br />Council has reviewed and considered the information contained <br />in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 78-178, and, on the basis <br />thereof, finds that the project will not have a significant <br />effect on the environment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the <br />City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, <br />generally located at 222-224 North Newhope Street, and more <br />particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein as though fully set forth, is hereby <br />reclassified from the A1 (General Agricultural) District to <br />the R2 (Multiple Family Residence) District, and that <br />Sectional District Map No. 9-5-10 is hereby amended to show <br />said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 805-A. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED this 16th day of n~tnh~ <br />the following vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: COUNCILMEN: Yamamoto, Ward, <br /> Garthe, Brandt <br /> NOES: COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br /> , 1978, by <br /> <br />Bricken, Evans <br /> <br />ATTEST: ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: 0rtiz~/ ~. <br /> MAYOR <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: ~ <br /> <br />KEITH L.
