NS-1459 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING SECTION 9-135 OF THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE THE DATE OF THE <br />VETERAN'S DAY HOLIDAY FROM OCTOBER 23 <br />TO NOVEMBER 11 <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That Section 9-135 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 9-135. Holidays - Regular employees. <br /> <br />Legal holidays observed by city employees shall <br />be January 1, the third Monday in February in <br />memory of George Washington's birthday, the last <br />Monday in May in commemoration of Memorial Day, <br />July 4, the first Monday in September, November <br />11, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday immediately <br />following Thanksgiving Day, the last working day <br />occurring immediately prior to December 25, and <br />December 25 and every day proclaimed by the mayor <br />as a holiday for city employees.
