ORDINANCE NO. NS-1462 <br />PAGE FOUR <br /> <br /> (b) Width. The width of the ramp shall be maintained <br />as required for stairways. <br /> <br /> (c) Slope. The slope of a ramp shall be maintained <br />so as not to exceed 1 foot in 8 feet. <br /> <br /> (d) Handrails. A ramp with slope exceeding 1 foot <br />in 15 feet shall have handrails maintained as required for <br />stairways, except that intermediate handrails shall not <br />be required. <br /> <br /> (e) Surface. The surface of ramps shall be <br />maintained rough or of nonslip materials. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4: That section 14-5 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 14-5. Fireworks (Article 12) <br /> <br /> Article 12 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE 12 <br /> <br />FIREWORKS <br /> <br />Sec. 12.101. "Dangerous Firework" defined. <br /> <br /> For purposes of this Code "dangerous fireworks" <br />shall mean "dangerous fireworks" as defined in the State <br />Fireworks Law and the Regulations of the State Fire Marshal <br />adopted pursuant thereto, as they may from time to time be <br />amended. <br /> <br />Sec. 12.102. "Safe and Sane Fireworks" defined. <br /> <br /> For purposes of this Code "safe and sane fireworks" <br />shall mean "safe and sane fireworks" as defined in the State <br />Fireworks Law and the Regulations of the State Fire Marshal <br />adopted pursuant thereto, as they may from time to time be <br />amended. <br /> <br />Sec. 12.103. Dangerous Fireworks Prohibited. <br /> <br /> No person, firm, or organization shall manufacture, <br />store, display, sell offer for sale, possess, discharge, <br />explode, fire, or set off any dangerous fireworks within the <br />City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Sec. 12.104. Discharging Safe and Sane Fireworks. <br /> <br /> No person shall discharge any fireworks except <br />during the days that sales are permitted each year as set <br />forth in section 12.105 below. <br /> <br />Sec. 12.105. <br /> <br />Permit for Sale of Safe and Sane <br />Fireworks. <br /> <br /> No person shall display, sell, or engage in the <br />business of selling safe and sane fireworks without first <br />having obtained a permit to do so as hereinafter provided. <br />No person shall sell any type of fireworks at any time <br />except from June 28th through July 5th, inclusive, of any <br />year. <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br /> <br />
