REL:ms <br />2/1/79 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO NS-1479 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 808 <br />TO PREZONE PROPERTY LOCATED TO THE EAST <br />OF THE SANTA ANA FREEWAY AND TO THE SOUTH <br />OF THE GARDEN GROVE FREEWAY IN THE COUNTY <br />OF ORANGE TO THE O (OPEN SPACE LAND) AND <br />C2-HD II (GENERAL COMMERCIAL - HEIGHT <br />DISTRICT II) DISTRICTS, AND AMENDING <br />SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP NO. 36-4-10. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the real property located to the east of <br />the Santa Ana Freeway and to the south of the Garden Grove <br />Freeway, and more particularly described infra, is presently <br />in unincorporated territory of the County of Orange contiguous <br />to the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 808 has been <br />filed by the City of Santa Ana, to prezone such real property, <br />partly to the O (Open Space Land) District and partly to the <br />C2 - HD II (General Commercial - Height District II) District, <br />pursuant to Section 41-188 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice <br />of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment Application <br />and has recommended approval thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public <br />hearing on the said Amendment Application on published <br />notice required by law and does now find that the public <br />necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the <br />said property to be classified as requested in the said <br />Amendment Application, and that the said classification will <br />not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the City <br />Council has reviewed and considered the information contained <br />in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 78-256, and, on the basis <br />thereof, finds that the project will not have a significant <br />effect on the environment; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in <br />unincorporated territory of the County of Orange, State of <br />California, generally located to the east of the Santa Ana <br />Freeway and to the south of the Garden Grove Freeway, and <br />more particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto <br />and incorporated herein as though fully set forth, is hereby <br />prezoned partly to the 0 (Open Space) District and partly to <br /> <br /> <br />
