~/11/79 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1484 <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF TH~ CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA EXTENDING ORDINANCE NO. NS-1447 <br />AS EXTENDED BY ORDINANCE NS-1469 ~OR AN <br />ADDITIONAL FOUR MONTHS AND PROHIBITING <br />ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS, VARIANCES, <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS, OR MINOR EXCEPTIONS <br />IN THE AREA GENERALLY BOUNDED BY THE <br />SANTA ANA FREEWAY ON THE NORTH, LINCOLN <br />AVENUE ON THE EAST, SANTA ANA BOULEVARD <br />ON THE SOUTH, AND SANTIAGO AVENUE ON <br />THE WEST, EXCEPT UNDER SPECIFIED CONDITIONS <br />FOR SUCH INTERIM PERIOD PENDING AMENDMENT <br />OF THE GENERAL PLAN AND THE MUNICIPAL CODE; <br />AND STATING THE REASONS FOR ITS URGENCY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 21, 1978, the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana enacted Ordinance No. NS-1447, an <br />emergency ordinance prohibiting issuance of various permits <br />for an interim period pending completion of an Environmental <br />Impact Report for the potential rezoning of the Logan area, <br />General Plan amendment, and change of specific street alignment <br />for Civic Center Drive East; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said ordinance was effective for four (4) <br />months thereafter; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 18, 1978, the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana enacted Ordinance No. NS-1469, an <br />emergency ordinance extending the provisions of Ordinance <br />NS-1447 for an additional four (4) months; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council now finds that an extension <br />of said ordinances for an additional four (4) months, for a <br />total of twelve (12) months, is necessary in order to afford <br />sufficient time to complete the aforesaid Environmental <br />Impact Report for the potential rezoning, General Plan <br />amendment and specific street alignment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: Ordinance No. NS-1447 as extended <br />by Ordinance No. NS-1469 is hereby extended for an additional <br />period of four (4) months. Except as hereafter provided, <br />the issuance of building permits pursuant to Chapter 8 of <br />the Santa Ana Municipal Code, or the granting of minor <br />exceptions, variances or conditional use permits pursuant to <br />Chapter 41 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code, or the granting <br />of minor exceptions, variances or conditional use permits <br />pursuant to Chapter 41 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, is <br />hereby prohibited in the area generally bounded by the Santa <br />Aha Freeway on the north, Lincoln Avenue on the east, Santa <br />Ana Boulevard on the south, Santiago Avenue to Civic Center ' <br />Drive on the southwest, 190 feet east of the centerline of <br />Santiago Avenue on the northwest, hereinafter referred to as <br />"the Logan Area" and more fully delineated on the map marked <br />"Exhibit A," attached hereto and incorporat6d herein by <br />reference, during the effective period of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: Notwithstanding any provision <br />herein to the contrary, any building permit authorized by <br />Chapter 8 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code, or minor exceptions, <br />variances, or conditional use permits authorizee by Chapter <br />41 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code, may be issued within the <br /> <br /> <br />
