NS-1488 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 36, DIVISION 2 ARTICLES <br />VII AND VII-A, OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE TO ESTABLISH INCREASED AND DECREASED <br />PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS UPON CERTAIN <br />STREETS AND PORTIONS OF STREETS IN THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Chapter <br />to read <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Article VII of Division 2, <br />36 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />as follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE VII. INCREASED PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br />finds and determines, upon the basis of engineering and <br />traffic surveys made on the dates hereinafter in this <br />Article VII specified, that a speed greater than twenty-five <br />(25) miles per hour would facilitate the orderly movement of <br />vehicular traffic and would be reasonable and safe upon the <br />streets and portions of streets hereinafter specified, which <br />otherwise would be subject to a prima facie limit of twenty- <br />five (25) miles per hour, and does hereby determine and <br />declare prima facie speed limits upon such streets and <br />portions of streets as are hereinafter respectively <br />specified. The prima facie speed limits hereinafter <br />specified shall be effective, respectively, when appropriate <br />signs giving notice thereof are erected upon the streets and <br />portions of streets hereinafter specified.
