NS-1S00 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ESTABLISHING MINIMUM LIABILITY INSURANCE <br /> REQUIREMENTS APPLICABLE TO PARTIES <br /> CONTRACTING WITH THE CITY <br /> <br />KLG:ar <br />8/16/79 <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by <br />adding a section and article to Chapter 2 thereof, which <br />said section and article read as follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE VII. Liability Insurance Requirements for Contractors <br /> <br />Sec. 2-750. Contractors' Insurance Requirements. <br /> <br /> Except as otherwise provided in this Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code, each person, firm or association who or <br />which contracts with the City to perform any services to, <br />for, or on behalf of the City shall provide to the City <br />evidence, in form acceptable to the City Attorney, of liabil- <br />ity insurance which protects the interests of the City in at <br />least the following minimum limits of liability: <br /> <br /> (1) As to each such person, firm or association <br />who or which provides to, for, or on behalf of the City <br />vehicular transportation services for persons: not less <br />than One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) per person and <br />occurrence for bodily inj'ury and One Hundred Thousand <br />Dollars ($100,000.00) each occurrence for property damage, <br />or One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) combined single <br />limit, or such other limits as the City Council may specify <br />in any such contract. <br /> <br /> (2) AS to each other such person, firm or associa- <br />tion who or which provides other services to, for, or on <br />behalf of the City: Not less than the limits of liability <br />which the City Council may specify by Resolution. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED this <br />following vote: <br /> <br />4th day of September , 1979, by the <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />Bricken, Luxembourger, Markel, Ward, <br /> Yamamoto <br />None <br /> <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Griset, Serrato <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br /> <br />
