REL:ms <br />3/21/80 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1524 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ADDING SECTION 10-151 TO THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE THE POSTING <br />OF PRICES AT SERVICE STATIONS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code, <br />is hereby ~mended by adding a section, to be numbered 10- <br />151, which said section reads as follows: <br /> <br /> Sec. 10-151. Service station signs <br /> <br /> No person owning or operating fuel pumps for the <br />purpose of selling gasoline or diesel fuel to the general <br />public, whether at a service station or in conjunction with <br />any other use, shall sell gasoline or diesel fuel unless <br />signs are posted on the premises, indicating the price <br />~ja%clusive of tax) of each grade of gasoline or diesel fuel <br />sold, in such conspicuous places as are visible to substantially <br />all vehicular traffic on the adjacent street or streets. No <br />person shall sell gasoline or diesel fuel except in accordance <br />with the prices posted on such signs. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: If any section, subsection, sentence, <br /> clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any <br /> reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision <br /> of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall <br /> not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this <br /> ordinance. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br /> declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each <br /> section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion <br /> thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, <br /> subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions be <br /> declared invalid or unconstitutional. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED this Sth day of May , 1980, <br /> by the following vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: COUNCILMEN: <br /> Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, Serrato, Yamamoto <br /> NOES: COUNCILMEN: <br /> Bricken, Ward <br /> ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: <br /> None <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ' ~ Attorney <br />~GOW, City <br /> <br /> <br />
