NS-1549 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 836 <br />TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST <br />SIDE OF SHANNON STREET APPROXIMATELY <br />600 FEET SOUTH OF FIRST STREET, FROM THE <br />M1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT TO THE R2 <br />(MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT AND <br />AMENDING SECTIONAL MAP NO. 16-5-10 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the real property located in the West <br />side of Shannon Street approximately 600 feet south of First <br />Street, and more particularly described infra, is located <br />within the M-1 (Light Industrial) District, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amendment Application NO. 836 has been <br />filed to amend Sectional District Map No. 16-5-10 to rezone <br />such real property to the R2 (Multiple-Family Residence) <br />District, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice <br />of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment <br />Application and has recommended approval thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public <br />hearing on the said Amendment Application on published <br />notice required by law and does now find that the public <br />necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the <br />said property be reclassified as requested in the said <br />Amendment Application, and that the new classification will <br />not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the City <br />Council has reviewed and considered the information <br />contained in Negative Declaration (I.S. No. 80-154), and, on <br />the basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a <br />significant effect on the environment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the <br />City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, <br />generally located on the West side of Shannon Street <br />approximately 600 feet south of First Street, and more <br />particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein as though fully set forth, is hereby <br />reclassified from the M-1 (Light Industrial) District to the <br />R2 (Multiple-Family Residence) District, and that Sectional <br />District Map No. 16-5-10 is hereby amended to show said <br />reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 836-A. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED this 3rd day of November , 1979, by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br /> <br />COUNCILMEN: BRICK~N, LU~]~4BOURG~R, MARK~L, SERRATO <br /> WARD, YAN~qMOT0 <br />COUNC I LMEN: , NON~ <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />COUNCILMEN: GRISET <br /> <br />EDWARD J. ~OOP~ <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br /> <br />
