NS-1555 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 838 TO REZONE <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2201 TO 2225 SOUTH PACIFIC <br />AVENUE, FROM THE C2 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) <br />DISTRICT TO THE R4 (SUBURBAN APARTMENT) DISTRICT <br />AND AMENDING SECTIONAL MAP NO. 23-5-10. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the real property located at 2201 to 2225 <br />South Pacific Avenue, and more particularly described infra, <br />is located within the C2 (General Commercial) District, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 838 has been filed <br />to amend Sectional District Map No. 23-5-10 to rezone such <br />real property to the R4 (Suburban Apartment) District, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of <br />and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment Application <br />and has recommended approval thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public <br />hearing on the said Amendment Application on published <br />notice required by law and does now find that the public <br />necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the <br />said property be reclassified as requested in the said <br />Amendmen%~ Application, and that the new classification will <br />not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the City Council <br />has reviewed and considered the information contained in <br />Negative Declaration, I. S. No. 80-124, and on the basis <br />thereof finds that the project will not have a significant <br />effect on the environment, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the City <br />of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, generally <br />located at 2201 to 2225 South Pacific Avenue, and more <br />particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein as though fully set forth, is hereby <br />reclassified from the C2 (General Commercial) District to <br />the R4 (Suburban Apartment) District and that Sectional <br />District Map No. 23-5-10 is hereby amended to show said <br />reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 838-A. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED this 17th day of November <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />, 1980, by <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br /> <br />COUNCILMEN: Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, <br /> Ward, Yamamoto <br />COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />Serrato, <br /> <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />EDWARD J. ~OOP~ City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
