NS- 1556 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 840 <br />TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 727 SOUTH <br />LYON STREET FROM THE A1 (GENERAL AGRICUL- <br />TURAL) DISTRICT TO THE R4 (SUBURBAN <br />APARTMENT) DISTRICT AND AMENDING <br />SECTIONAL MAP NO. 17-5-9 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the real property located at 727 South <br />Lyon Street, and more particularly described infra, is <br />located within the A1 (General Agricultural) District, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 840 has been <br />filed to amend Sectional District Map No. 17-5-9 to rezone <br />such real property to the R4 (Suburban Apartment District, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice <br />of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment <br />Application and has recommended approval thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public <br />hearing on the said Amendment Application on published <br />notice required by law and does now find that the public <br />necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that <br />the said property be reclassified as requested in the <br />said Amendment Application, and that the new classification <br />will not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to taking this action, the City <br />Council has reviewed and considered the information <br />contained in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 80-153, and, on <br />the basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a <br />significant effect on the environment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the <br />City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, <br />generally located at 727 South Lyon Street, and more <br />particularly described as Parcel 1 as shown on a map <br />recorded in Book 37, Page 37, of Parcel Maps, Records of <br />Orange County is hereby reclassified from the A1 (General <br />Agricultural) District to the R4 (Suburban Apartment) <br />District and that Sectional District Map No. 17-5-9 is <br />hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance <br />with Exhibit A.A. 840-A. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 17th day of November , 1980, <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br /> <br />COUNCILMEN: Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, <br /> Serrato, Ward, <br />COUNCILMEN: Marke], Yamam0t0 <br /> <br /> ABSENT: ~UNCILMEN:None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />EDWARD ~. ~OPEu <br />CITY ATTO~EY <br /> <br />AYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
