NS-1594 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />TO APPROVE AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 856 <br />TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SO~TH <br />SIDE OF MONTE VISTA AVENUE EAST OF <br />SULLIVAN STREET FROM THE R1 (SINGLE- <br />FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT TO THE R2 <br />(MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT <br />AND AMENDING SECTIONAL MAP NO. 14-5-10 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the real property located on the south <br />side of Monte Vista Avenue east of Sullivan Street, and more <br />particularly described infra, is located within the R1 <br />(Single-Family Residence) District, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 856 has been <br />filed to amend Sectional District Map No. 14-5-10 to rezone <br />such real property to the R2 (Multiple-Family Residence) <br />District, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice <br />of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment <br />Application and has recommended approval thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public <br />hearing on the said Amendment Application on published <br />notice required by law and does now find that the public <br />necessity, convenience, and general welfare require., that <br />the said property be reclassified as requested in the said <br />Amendment Application, and that the new classification will <br />not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to taking this action, the City <br />Council has reviewed and considered the information <br />contained in Negative Declaration, I.S. NO. 81-76, and, on <br />the basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a <br />significant effect on the environment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the <br />City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, <br />generally located on the south side of Monte Vista Avenue <br />east of Sullivan Street, and more particularly described as <br />that portion of the north 200 feet of Lot 18 of a re-plot of <br />Santa Ana Acres shown as Parcel 2 on a parcel map recorded <br />in Book 146, page 29, of Parcel Maps, Records of Orange <br />County, is hereby reclassified from the R1 (Single-Family <br />Residence) District to the R2 (Multiple-Family Residence) <br />District and that Sectional District Map No. 14-5-10 is <br />hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance <br />with Exhibit A.A. 856-A. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED this 17th day of Auqust , 1981, <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Acosta, Brtcken, Griset,~ . <br /> Luxembourger, Markel, ~cGuigan, ~erra~o <br /> <br /> NOES: COUNC ILMEMBERS: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS: None <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />GOP~IC KEN, MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
