NS- 1602 <br />PAGE THREE <br /> <br /> SECTION 5: That section 41-617(k) of the Santa <br />Aha Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-617(k). <br /> <br />Union hall and buildings. <br /> <br /> One parking stall for each three hundred (300) <br />square feet of gross office floor area, plus one parking <br />stall for each seventy (70) square feet of assembly room <br />floor area, shall be provided for union halls and buildings. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6: That section 41-617(1) of the Santa <br />Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-617(1). <br /> <br />Hospitals and welfare <br />institutions. <br /> <br /> One and one-half (1-1/2) parking stalls for each <br />patient bed shall be provided for hospitals and welfare <br />institutions. <br /> <br /> SECTION 7: That section 41-617(m) of the Santa <br />Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-617(m). General retail. <br /> <br /> One parking stall for each one hundred fifty (150) <br />square feet of gross floor area, except area devoted <br />exclusively to storage, shall be provided for general retail <br />uses, including service uses such as barbershops and beauty <br />parlors. <br /> <br /> SECTION 8: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby ~mended by adding a section, to be numbered 41- <br />638.1, which said section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-638.1 Minor Exceptions from off- <br /> street parking requirements. <br /> <br /> (a) Minor exceptions from the off-street parking <br />regulations referenced in this section shall be subject to <br />grant or denial based upon the standards set forth in this <br />section and not upon the standards set forth in section 41- <br />638. <br /> <br /> (b) A minor exception from the provisions of this <br />chapter limiting the number of parking stalls permitted for <br />small car design and designation may be granted if the <br />increase in the proportion of such small car stalls would <br />not adversely effect vehicle parking or maneuvering, due to <br />the nature of the uses served by such parking, provided, <br />however, the total number of such small car stalls shall not <br />exceed the number permitted by the provisions of this <br />chapter by more than twenty percent (20%). <br /> <br /> (c) A minor exception from the requirement that <br />required parking areas be integrated such that a vehicle <br />need not enter a street to move from one aisle to another <br />may be granted if: <br /> <br /> (i) The stalls in an aisle are all <br />reserved or assigned so as to be unavailable <br />for parking by persons permitted to park in <br />another aisle; or <br /> <br /> <br />
