NS-1605 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 2-100 <br />OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO SET <br />THE STARTING TIME OF REGULAR MEETINGS OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL AT 1:00 P.M. ON THE <br />FIRST AND THIRD MONDAYS OF EACH MONTH <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That section 2-100 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 2-100. Council meetings, time and place. <br /> <br />Regular meetings of the city council shall be <br />held at the hour of 1:00 p.m. on the first and <br />third Mondays of each month. At a time determined <br />by the council, said Monday meetings shall be <br />recessed until 7:30 p.m. of the same day, at which <br />hour the council shall reconvene. <br /> <br />Council meetings shall be convened in the council <br />chambers in the city hall, Santa Ana, California, <br />and all meetings shall be opened therein, but <br />may adjourn to such other place or places as <br />the council may order. If, by reason of damage, <br />repair, or alteration of the structure, or other <br />emergency, said place is determined to be unsafe, <br />meetings may be held for the duration of the <br />emergency at such place as may be determined by <br />the mayor or four members of the council. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, <br />phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held <br />to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any <br />court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not <br />affect the validity of the remaining portions of this <br />ordinance. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br />declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each <br />section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion <br />thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more <br />sections, subsections, sentence, clauses, phrases, or <br />portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED this 2nd day of November <br />1981, by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS: Acosta, Griset, Luxemb0urger, <br /> Markel, McGuigan, Serrat0 <br />COUNCILMEMBERS: None <br /> <br /> ABSENT: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />COUNC ILMEMBERS: Bricken <br /> ~~ICKEN <br /> <br /> <br />
