ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1597 <br /> <br />BKS:mb <br />8/7/81 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ADDING SECTION 8-2 TO CHAPTE~: 8 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE REQUIRING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH LICENSING PROVISION OF <br />CHAPTER 21 OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE PRIOR TO FINAL INSPECTION FOR <br />WORK OR SERVICE ON A PROJECT FOR WHICH <br />FINAL INSPECTION IS REQUIRED <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION I: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code, <br />hereby amended by adding a section, to be numbered 8-2, <br />which said section reeds as fcllows: <br /> <br />is <br /> <br /> Section 8-2. License tax paid prior to final <br />inspection. <br /> <br /> No final inspection required by any of the provisions <br />of this chapter shall be issued,, or applied for, until the <br />director of finance or his designated representative shall <br />have certified that applicable license taxes have been paid <br />by all independent contractors who have performed any work <br />or service upon the project fc.r which such final inspection <br />is required. <br /> <br /> The building official shall not make such final <br />inspection until the director of finance or his designated <br />representative certifies that there has been full compliance <br />with the requirements of Chapter 21 of this code and all <br />other applicable taxing laws. To obtain such certificate, <br />there shall be submitted to the director of finance or his <br />designated representative, an affidavit or declaration under <br />penalty of perjury, by the owner of the property or by the <br />contractor having control of the project, upon a form <br />provided by the city, which contains the complete name, <br />street address of the place of business and the telephone <br />number of each contractor and subcontractor who has performed <br />any work or labor, or has rendered any service upon the <br />project for which such final inspection is required. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: If any section, subsection, sentence, <br />clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any <br />reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision <br />of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall <br />not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this <br />ordinance.
