NS- 1647 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ADDING SECTION 41-616.6 TO THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, TO PROVIDE FOR INSTALLATION <br />OF OFF-STREET PARKING SPACES FOR PHYSICALLY <br />HANDICAPPED PERSONS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered 41-616.6, which <br />said section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-616.6. Handicapped parking <br /> <br />(a) Number <br /> <br /> A portion of the required off-street parking <br />spaces required for any nonresidential use by this chapter, <br />shall be designed for physically handicapped persons in <br />accordance with the following standards: <br /> <br />Total Number of <br /> <br />Parking Spaces <br /> <br />Number of Spaces <br />for Handicapped Persons <br /> <br />1 - 40 1 <br />41 - 80 2 <br />81 - 120 3 <br />121 - 160 4 <br />161 - 300 5 <br />301 - 400 6 <br />401 - 500 7 <br />Over 500 1 for each 200 <br /> additional spaces <br /> provided <br /> <br />(b) Design <br /> <br /> Handicapped persons' parking spaces shall be at <br />least 14 feet wide and 18 feet long, except that, any such <br />stalls arranged in pairs with a 5~foot wide <br />loading/unloading area between them clearly marked on the <br />ground need be only 9-feet wide. <br /> <br /> <br />
