NS-1667 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL <br />MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA ON APRIL 5, 1983, FOR THE ELECTION <br />OF THREE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />AND FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE VOTERS OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA OF PROPOSED <br />AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY CHARTER <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That a general municipal election is hereby <br />called to be held in the City of Santa Ana on April 5, 1983. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: That said election is held to fill the <br />offices of three members of the City Council, to be <br />nominated from Wards 2, 4 and 6, the term of each to begin <br />on April 12, 1983, or as soon thereafter as the result of <br />said election can be declared. <br /> <br />SECTION 3: That said election shall also be held for the <br />purpose of submitting to the electors of the City a proposal <br />of the City Council to amend section 901 of the City Charter <br />in the manner set forth in Exhibit B, attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein be reference, said proposal to appear on <br />the ballot as follows: <br /> <br /> "Shall section 901 of the Charter of the City of Santa <br />Ana be amended to provide that the terms of members of City <br />boards and commissions which are established by the Charter <br />or by ordinance of the city council shall run concurrently <br />with the terms of city council members?" <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 3rd day of Sanuar¥ , 1983. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Y, ~ler~f the <br />COUNCILMEMBERS: <br /> <br />Bricken Aye <br />Luxembourger Aye <br />Acosta Aye <br />Serrato Absent <br />Griset --~ye <br />Markel ~ye <br />McGuigan Aye <br /> <br /> GORDON <br />Council <br /> <br />, Mayor <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />~City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
