NS-1671 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE <br />BY ADDING DIVISION 11 TO ARTICLE IV, <br />CHAPTER 2, CONSISTING OF SECTIONS 2-660 <br />TO 2-661 ESTABLISHING THE COMMUNITY CABLE <br />CITIZENS BOARD AND ITS POWERS AND DUTIES. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the Santa Ana Municipal Code, is hereby <br />amended by adding a Division to Article IV of Chapter 2, to <br />be numbered Division 11, which said Division reads as <br />follows: <br /> <br />DIVISION 11. COMMUNITY CABLE CITIZENS BOARD <br /> <br />Sec. 2-660. Establishment of Community <br /> Cable Citizens Board. <br /> <br /> There is hereby established the Community Cable <br />Citizens Board of the City of Santa Ana, having such powers <br />as set forth in this chapter. The said board shall consist of <br />eleven (11) members each of whom must reside or have his or <br />her principal place of business in the City of Santa Anao <br />Members shall be subject to appointment and removal and <br />shall serve terms in accordance with Section 901 of the <br />Charter of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-661. Scope of Authority. <br /> <br /> The Community Cable Citizens Board shall have the <br />following powers and duties: <br /> <br /> (1) It shall consider all matters that may be referred <br />to it by the city council or the city manager, and shall <br />render its recommendations, counsel and advice in regards <br />thereto. <br /> <br /> (2) It shall conduct public hearings on rate change <br />requests made by any cable television franchisee and shall <br />make a written finding which shall specify all facts relied <br />upon in arriving at a recommendation to the city council <br />regarding such rate change request. <br /> <br /> <br />
