NS- 1680 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 2-550 AND 2-551, <br />RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE <br />BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE BOWERS MUSEUM <br />AND PROVIDING FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF THE <br />SAID BOARD'S POWERS AND DUTIES BY <br />RESOLUTION AND REPEALING SECTION 2-553 <br />OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That Section 2-550 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 2-550. <br /> <br />Board of Museum Trustees - <br />Established; Membership. <br /> <br /> There is hereby created a board of museum trustees <br />consisting of nine (9) voting members and two (2) non- <br />voting ex officio members to be known as the Board of <br />Trustees of the Bowers Museum. The members shall serve <br />without compensation. Members shall be subject to <br />appointment and removal, and shall serve terms in accordance <br />with Section 901 'of the Charter of the City of Santa Ana. <br />The City Council shall designate the City officers or <br />employees serving as non-voting, ex officio members of such <br />board. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. That Section 2-551 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code, is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 2-551. Same - Nominations; Duties. <br /> <br /> The City Council shall provide by resolution'for the <br />procedure to be used in nominating and appointing members <br />and ex officio members and the powers and duties of the <br />Board of Trustees. <br /> <br /> <br />
