NS-1685 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />TERMINATING VEHICLE PARKING DISTRICT <br />NO. 1 OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND <br />REPEALING SECTION 2-618 OF THE SANTA <br />ANA MUNICIPAL CODE, DESIGNATING THE <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS THE BOARD OF <br />PARKING PLACE COMMISSIONERS FOR SAID <br />DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana, by its Ordinance <br />No. NS-76, adopted January 3, 1955, pursuant to the Vehicle <br />Parking District Law of 1943 (Streets and Highways Code <br />Sections 31500 e__t seq.), created "Vehicle Parking District <br />No. 1," a special assessment district formed to finance the <br />acquisition and installation by the City of Santa Ana of a <br />parking lot, originally located on the south side of Sixth <br />Street between Bush and Spurgeon Streets, and subsequently <br />relocated to the south side of ~Fifth Street, between Bush <br />and Spurgeon Streets; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as required by the said Vehicle Parking <br />District Law of 1943, a Board of Parking Place Commissioners <br />was appointed by the City Council to administer the said <br />parking lot and provide for the repayment of all assessments <br />and loans used to finance the acquisition and installation <br />of the said parking lot from the revenues of the said lot; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. NS-1197, adopted March <br />11, 1974, adding Section 2-618 to the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code, the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of <br />Santa Ana was designated as the ex officio Board of Parking <br />Place Commissioners for Vehicle Parking ~-fstrict No. 1; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all assessments and loans used to finance <br />the acquisition and installation of said parking lot have <br />been fully repaid, so that the continued existence of <br />Vehicle Parking District No. 1 and its Board of Parking <br />Place Commissioners serves no useful purpose; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon termination of Vehicle Parking <br />District No. 1 and its Board of Parking Place Commissioners, <br />the said parking lot will be subject to the control and <br />disposition of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana in <br /> <br /> <br />
