ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1720 <br />PAGE FIVE <br /> <br />is used for residential purposes, or on any <br />premises which permits residential uses pur- <br />suant to the zoning districts contained in <br />Chapter 41 of this Code. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by'adding a section to be numbered 5-73, which said sec- <br />tion reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 5-73. Zoning regulations. <br /> <br /> The requirements of this chapter shall <br />be deemed to be in addition to, and not in <br />limitation of, the requirements of the zoning <br />regulations contained in Chapter 41 of this <br />Code. Any permit issued under the provisions <br />of this chapter shall not operate to authorize <br />the keeping or maintaining of animals or wild <br />animals in any zoning district where the use <br />of land for such purposes is not authorized <br />by the then applicable zoning regulations for <br />such districts. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6: Ail persons who fail to comply with Sections <br />5-6, 5-18 or 5-19, as amended by this Ordinance No. NS-1720 , or <br />fail to comply with Section 5-6.5, as added by this Ordinance No. <br />NS-1720 , shall have six (6) months from the effective date of <br />this Ordinance No. NS-1720 in which to comply with the above- <br />described changes made by this Ordinance No. NS-1720. <br /> <br /> SECTION 7: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, <br />phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held to be <br />invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of compe- <br />tent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of <br />the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana and each declares that it would have adopted this <br />ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or <br />portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sec- <br />tions, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases or portions be de- <br />clared invalid or unconstitutional. <br /> <br /> SECTION 8: Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor <br />the repeal hereby of any ordinance shall in any manner affect the <br />prosecution for violation of ordinances, which violations were com- <br />mitted prior to the effective date hereof, nor be construed as af- <br />fecting any of the provisions of such ordinance relating to the <br /> <br /> <br />
