NS-1721 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ADDING ARTICLE XI, CONSISTING OF <br />SECTIONS 41-850 THROUGH 41-1009, TO <br />CHAPTER 41 OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE, AMENDING SECTIONS 41-444, 41-507, <br />AND 41-619.13, THEREOF, AND REPEALING <br />SECTIONS 41-346, 41-429, 41-578, <br />AND 41-619 THROUGH 41-619.12 THEREOF, <br />TO REVISE THE ZONING REGULATIONS <br />PERTAINING TO ON-RREMISE ADVERTISING SIGNS. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended by adding an Article, to be numbered XI, <br />to Chapter 41 thereof, which said Article consists of <br />sections numbered 41-850 through 41-1010 and reads as <br />follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE XI. <br /> <br />ON-PREMISE SIGNS <br /> <br />DIVISION 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />Sec. 41-850. Purpose <br /> <br /> The purpose of this Article is to establish a system <br />for the control of the size, location, type, and 'number of <br />signs located on private property in the City of Santa Ana <br />according to reasonable and non-discriminatory standards. <br />Such regulation is deemed necessary to enhance the quality <br />of the visual environment, thereby promotin~ commerce, <br />improving coramunity identity, conservin~ property, values, <br />improving traffic safety and promoting the health, safety <br />and general welfare of the people. <br /> <br /> <br />
