NS-1756 <br />PAGE FIVE <br /> <br /> (2) Any fence, hedge or masonry wall expressly <br />permitted by this section or any other section of this <br />chapter shall comply with the provisions set forth in <br />chapter 36 of this Code. <br /> <br /> (3) Wood and decorative masonry bloCk shall be <br />permitted as fencing materials. Chain link fencing <br />material shall only be permitted in the rear or side <br />yard which cannot be viewed from the public right-of- <br />way. <br /> <br /> (4) Barbed wire shall be permitted only in the <br />side or rear yard of a lot in the Mi, M2, LM, CM, Cl, <br />~2 and C3 districts, except where adjacent to any <br />residential use or where viewable from the public <br />right-of-way. <br /> <br />SECTION 10: That Section 41-610.5 of the Santa Ana Municl.pal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-610.5. Wall requirement in ~the industrial <br /> and commercial zones. <br /> <br /> On any lot in a C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, Mi, M2, LM or <br />CM district, a concrete block wall not less than f.ive (5) feet <br />in height shall be erected along any property line contiguous <br />to any residentially zoned property, except that such wall shall <br />not exceed the height limitations prescribed in Section 41-610. <br />This requirement may be waived by the planning commission upon <br />a finding that the abutting property is in a period of transi- <br />tion to non residential use, or that, due to special circum- <br />stances, the wall would not promote the public health, safety, <br />or welfare. <br /> <br />SECTION 11: That Section 41-611 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
