Electrodes of pipe or conduit shall <br />be not smaller than three-fourths (3/4) inch trade size <br />and where of iron or steel, shall have the outer surface <br />galvanized or otherwise metal-coated for corrosion <br />protection. Minimum of eight (8) feet to be driven in <br />the ground. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Rod electrodes. Electrodes of rods of steel or iron <br />shall be at least five-eighths (5/8) inch in diameter. <br />Approved rods of nonferrous materials of their approved <br />equivalent used for electrodes shall be not less than <br />one-half (1/2) inch in diameter. Minimum of eight (8) <br />feet to be driven in the ground. <br /> <br />SECTION 23: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />by adding a section, to be numbered 8-914, which said section <br />reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-914. Deletion. (Sec. 333-1 - 333-12). <br /> <br />deleting <br />to wit: <br /> <br />Chapter 3 of the National Electrical Code is amended by <br />therefrom Article 333 and all sections therein included, <br />Sections 333-1 through 333-12 inclusive. <br /> <br />SECTION 24: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />by adding a section, to be numbered 8-915, which <br />reads as follows: <br /> <br />is hereby amended <br />said section <br /> <br />Sec. 8-915. Deletion. (Sec. 334-1 - 334-24). <br /> <br />deleting <br />334-24. <br /> <br />Chapter 3 of the National Electrical Code is amended by <br />therefrom article 334 including sections 334-1 through <br /> <br />SECTION 25: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, <br />phrase or portion of this ordinance is, for any reason, held to be <br />invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of compe- <br />tent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of <br />the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby declares that it would have adopted this <br />ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase <br />or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more <br />sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions be <br />declared invalid or unconstitutional. <br /> <br />SECTION 26: Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the <br />repeal hereby of any ordinance shall, in any manner, affect the <br />prosecution for violation of ordinances, which violations were <br />committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be construed as <br /> <br /> <br />
