ORDINANCE NO. NS-1834 <br />PAGE THREE <br /> <br />(e) Public utility electric distribution and <br />transmission substations shall be enclosed within <br />a solid wall or chain link fence not less than <br />six (6) feet in height. <br /> <br />(f) Any person building, erecting, altering or <br />replacing any article, machine, equipment or <br />other contrivance, the use of which may cause <br />the issuance of air contaminants, shall prior <br />to the issuance of building permit, present the <br />planning department with a written statement <br />from the office of the air pollution control <br />officer of the air pollution control district <br />of Orange County stating that said use shall <br />meet with the regulations of said air pollution- <br />control district. <br /> <br />(g) Ail major compounding, processing, packag- <br />ing or assembly of articles of merchandise, and <br />treatment of products, shall be conducted within <br />a completely enclosed building. <br /> <br />(h) Any use which is permitted or conditionally <br />permitted in the M1 district because it is per- <br />mitted or conditionally permitted in the C2 <br />district shall be conducted in accordance with <br />the operational standards applicable to the C2 <br />district pursuant to Section 41-378. <br /> <br />SECTION 4: That Section 41-88 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows~ <br /> <br />Sec. 41-88. Junk yards, automobile wrecking <br /> yards, and salvage yards. <br /> <br /> A junk yard, automobile wrecking yard, or salvage yard <br />is any space of two hundred (200) square feet or more of area of <br />any lot used for the storage, sale, keeping or abandonment of <br />inoperable vehicles, junk or waste material, including scrap <br />metal or other scrap materials, or for the dismantling, demoli- <br />tion or abandonment of automobiles, other vehicles, machinery <br />or parts thereof, other than an impound yard. <br /> <br />SECTION 5: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered 41-79, which said <br />section reads as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
