NS-1858 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF <br />CATS IN A HOUSEHOLD TO THREE <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />IN <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That Section 5-1 of the Santa An~ <br />Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />· )al <br /> <br />Sec. 5.1 Definitions. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Animal includes, but is not li~ <br />birds, fishes, reptiles and n( <br />mammals. <br /> <br />.=d to <br /> <br />(b <br /> <br />Cat shall mean any male, , or neu- <br />ter domesticated he specie <br />feline. <br /> <br />(c <br /> <br />Commercial kennels <br />structure, or <br />(2) dogs or <br />four (4) <br />any purpose <br />boarding, <br />of dental <br />quarantin <br /> <br /> ~ any lot, building, <br /> where more than two <br />thI cats over the age of <br /> kept or maintained for <br /> but not limited to, <br /> ng or breeding, exclusive <br /> ical or surgical care, or for <br /> )oses. <br /> <br />(d <br /> <br />Dome~ animal means any dog, housecat <br /> , rabbit or poultry. <br /> <br />(e <br /> <br />Do. cludes any male, female, or neuter do- <br />meg member of the specis canis famil- <br /> , but excludes other members of the <br /> canidae. <br /> <br />Estray means any animal found running at <br />large upon any land within the city. <br /> <br />(g <br /> <br />Livestock means any swine, sheep, goat, <br />equine or bovine animal. <br /> <br />(h) <br /> <br />Owner means any person having title to any <br />animal, or a person who has, harbors, or <br />keeps, or who causes or permits to be har- <br />bored or kept, an animal in his care, or <br />who permits an animal to remain on or about <br />his premises for a period of seven (7) con- <br />secutive days. <br /> <br /> <br />
