REL :adg-20 <br />11/21/86 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-.1876 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ADDING <br />SECTION 41-625 TO THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO REGULATE THE <br />ABOVE GROUND OUTSIDE STORAGE OF <br />FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS IN FIXED <br />STORAGE TANKS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN <br />THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />by adding a section, to be numbered 41-625, which said section <br />reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-625. <br /> <br />Above ground outside storage <br />of flammable and combustible <br />liquids. <br /> <br /> The storage of Class I and Class II liquids (as defined <br />in the Fire Code of the City of Santa Ana) in above ground fixed <br />storage tanks outside of buildings is prohibited in all use <br />districts except the M1 and M2 districts. Such storage is <br />prohibited in the M1 and M2 districts except pursuant to a <br />conditional use permit duly issued for such purpose. As used <br />herein, "tank" means a vessel containing more than sixty (60) <br />gallons. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, <br />phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held to <br />be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court <br />or competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the <br />validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City <br />Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares that it would <br />have adopted this ordinance and each section, subsection, <br />sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the <br />fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, <br />clauses, phrases, or portions be declared invalid or uncon- <br />stitutional. <br /> <br /> <br />
