ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1902 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br />SECTION 3: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered S 8-562, which said <br />section shall read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-562. Gas burning appliances (Section 503(c)). <br /> <br /> Section 503(c) of the Mechanical Code is amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Gas burning appliances - Ail appliances designed <br />to burn gas shall be rigidly connected to the gas <br />supply outlet in an approved manner with approved <br />materials as provided in Section 2212. <br />Appliances located on the exterior of the <br />building shall be connected to the gas piping as <br />provided in Section 2213(g) and (k) of this <br />code. Listed metal appliance connectors shall <br />not be used at exterior locations. <br /> <br />SECTION 4: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered § 8-563, which said <br />section shall read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-563. Appliance connectors (Section 2214). <br /> <br /> Section 2214 of the Mechanical Code is amended to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> Sec. 2214. Appliance connections shall have a <br />diameter not less than that of the inlet connection to <br />the appliance as provided by the manufacturer and each <br />appliance shall be rigidly connected to the gas piping <br />with materials as provided in Section 2212. <br />Appliances located on the roof or outside of the <br />building shall be connected to the gas piping as <br />provided in Section 2213(g) and (k) of this code. <br />Listed metal appliance connectors shall not be used at <br />exterior locations. <br /> <br />SECTION 5: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, <br />phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held to <br />be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of <br />competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the <br />validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
