NS-1915 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ADOPTING A MAP DESIGNATING REVISED "CRITICAL DEVELOPMENT AREAS" AND "IMPROVEMEN~ AREAS" FOR PURPOSES OF REGULATING THE LOCATION OF OFF-PREMISE COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING SIGNS WHEREAS, by its Ordinance No. NS-1722, adopted April 16, 1984, this Council added Article XII to Chapter 41 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, regulating the installation of off- premise commercial advertising signs; and WHEREAS, such regulations provide for "critical development areas," in which no new off-premise commercial advertising signs may be constructed, and "improvement areas" in which such signs may be installed pursuant to relocation agreements between the City and the sign owner; and WHEREAS, by Section 3 of said Ordinance No. NS-1722, this Council approved and adopted a certain map designating the said "critical development areas" and "improvement areas"; and WHEREAS, this Council now desires to approve a new map revising and extending the "critical development areas" to include the Bristol Street and Seventeenth Street corridors, and in this regard finds and determines that said corridors have paramount importance to the future economic growth and stability of the City of Santa Ana; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That certain map designating the "critical development areas" and "improvement areas" of the City of Santa Ana, as reviewed by the City Council concurrently with its consideration of this ordinance, is hereby approved and adopted, and the Clerk of the Council is directed to attest to the same on the face thereof and to maintain said map as an official record of the City of Santa Ana. SECTION 2: That certain map previously approved by this Council pursuant to Ordinance No. NS-1722 is superceded and replaced by the map hereinabove approved, and shall be of no
