NS-1996 <br /> <br /> . -065 <br />REL :mb ( 9 ) <br />7/13/88, Rev.12/28/88 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 36-2, 36-398, 36-403, <br />36-405, 36-413, 36-431 AND 36-432 OF <br />THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE AND REPEAL- <br />ING SECTION 36-399, TO REVISE THE CITY'S <br />PARKING METER REGULATIONS AND ESTABLISH <br />THE DOWNTOWN PARKING METER ZONE. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That section 36-2 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Sec. 36-2. Parking meter zones. <br /> <br /> A parking meter zone, as hereinafter referred to, <br /> consists of those public street vehicular parking <br /> areas designated for metered parking by ordinance. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: That section 36-398 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Sec. 36-398. Parking meter fees. <br /> <br /> The fee charged for parking in any metered parking <br /> space shall be $0.05 for each twelve minutes or $0.25 <br /> per hour. <br /> <br />SECTION 3: That section 36-399 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4: That section 36-403 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Sec. 36-403. Hours. <br /> <br /> Except as otherwise provided, the provisions of <br />this article relating to the operation of parking meters <br />shall be effective only between the hours of eight o'clock <br />(8:00) a.m. and eight o'clock (8:00) p.m. on Monday, <br />Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of <br />each week, except such parking limitations shall not be <br />operative on any legal holiday. <br /> <br />SECTION 5: That section 36-405 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 36-405. Use of slugs; damaging meter. <br /> <br /> No person shall deposit in any parking meter, any <br />slug or metallic substitute for a coin of the United <br />States, or deface, injure, tamper with, open or wilfully <br /> <br /> <br />
