NS-2051 <br />PAGE THREE <br /> <br />be numbered 14-17, which said section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 14-17. 1989 Supplement. <br /> <br /> The Uniform Fire Code, including the appendices <br />thereto, and the Uniform Fire Code Standards are amended <br />and supplemented in accordance with that certain "1989 <br />Supplement to the Uniform Building Code, U.B.C. Standards, <br />Uniform Mechanical Code, Uniform Fire Code and the U.F.C. <br />Standards," a copy of which is on file in the office of <br />the clerk of the council. <br /> <br />SECTION 5: That section 14-18 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 14-18. Board of appeals (Section 2.303). <br /> <br /> Section 2.303 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br /> The Uniform Code appeals board shall have the power <br />and be required to hear appeals regarding the fire marshal's <br />denial of, or refusal to grant, any application for a <br />permit required under any provision of the fire code, the <br />determination of the suitability of alternative materials <br />and types of construction, and the reasonable interpretation <br />of the provisions in the event of a dispute. Any such <br />appeal shall be filed with the secretary for the Uniform <br />Code appeals board within ten (10) days from the date of <br />the decision being appealed. Any appeal once filed, shall <br />be governed by the board's duly adopted procedural rules <br />and regulations. <br /> <br />SECTION 6: That section 14-25 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 14-25. <br /> <br />Access roadways for fire apparatus (Section <br />10.207). <br /> <br /> Section 10.207 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) Required construction. Every building or portions <br />of buildings hereafter constructed shall have fire apparatus <br />access roadways, such access roadways shall provide two <br />(2) separate but interconnected means of ingress and <br />egress. Access shall be at least twenty (20) feet in <br />clear width. A forty-foot outside and twenty-foot inside <br /> <br /> <br />
