ORDINANCE NO. NS-2067 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA ADDING SECTION 2-108 TO THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE PROHIBITING <br />DISCLOSURE OF CLOSED SESSION DISCUSSIONS <br />WITHOUT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />EJC:ar/mb(7) <br />06/05/90 <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOW'S: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered 2-108, which said <br />section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 2-108. <br /> <br />Disclosures from closed session. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful for any member of the city <br />council, or any officer or employee of the city or any <br />other person present during a closed session of the city <br />council to disclose to any person the content or sub- <br />stance of any discussion which took place during such <br />closed session on any matter legally authorized to be <br />heard in closed session, unless the city council has <br />authorized the disclosure of such information by majority <br />vote. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, <br />phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held to <br />be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of <br />competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the <br />validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City <br />Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares that it would <br />have adopted this ordinance and each section, subsection, sen- <br />tence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the <br />fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, <br />clauses, phrases, or portions be declared invalid or unconsti- <br />tutional. <br /> <br /> <br />
