NS-2071 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 2-100 <br />OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE <br />THE PLACE OF CONVENING COUNCIL MEETINGS <br />TO THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That section 2-100 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 2-100. Council meetings, time and place. <br /> <br /> Regular meetings of the city council shall be held at <br />the hour of 4:00 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of <br />each month. At a time determined by the council, said <br />Monday meetings shall be recessed until 7:30 p.m. of the <br />same day, at which hour the council shall reconvene. <br /> <br /> Council meetings shall be convened in the council cham- <br />bers in the city hall, Santa Ana, California, and all meet- <br />ings shall be opened therein, but may adjourn to such other <br />other place or places as the council may order. If, by <br />reason of damage, repair, or alteration of the structure, <br />or other emergency, said place is determined to be unsafe, <br />meetings may be held for the duration of the emergency at <br />such place as may be determined by the mayor or four (4) <br />members of the council. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: If any section, subsection, sentence, <br />clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason <br />held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any <br />court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect <br />the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The <br />City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares that it <br />would have adopted this ordinance and each section, subsection, <br />sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the <br /> <br /> <br />
