NS-2096 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ADDING <br />SECTIONS 41-65.5 and 41-193 TO THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO REGULATE GARAGE SALES <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered 41-65.5, <br />section reads as follows: <br /> <br />is hereby <br />which said <br /> <br />Sec. 41-65.5. Garage sale. <br /> <br /> A garage sale is a sale of goods, wares or merchan- <br />dise from residential property where the public is invi- <br />ted on to such property to purchase such items. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered 41-193, which said <br />section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-193. Garage sale regulations. <br /> <br /> No person shall conduct a garage sale in violation <br />of the following regulations: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />A garage sale may not last longer than three <br />(3) consecutive days. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />No more than two (2) garage sales may be con- <br />ducted at the same address in any one calendar <br />year. <br /> <br />(c) Garage sale activity shall be limited to the <br /> hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />(d) Garage sale activity may not by conducted in <br /> the public sidewalks, parkways, streets, or <br /> alleys. <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />Ail items sold at a garage sale must be used <br />goods, wares or merchandise of a household <br />nature. <br /> <br />(f) <br /> <br /> Garage sale advertising signs may not be <br />posted on telephone poles, streets lights, <br />traffic signs, or any other structure in the <br />public right-of-way. Such signs may not be <br /> <br /> <br />
