NS- 2141 <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 36 <br />OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO MAKE <br />CERTAIN MINOR REVISIONS TO THE TRAFFIC <br />REGULATIONS OF THE CITY <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That section 36-11 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 36-11. <br /> <br />Director. <br /> <br />As used in this chapter, "director" or "director of <br />public works II means the executive director of the public works <br />agency of the City of Santa Ana or his or her authorized <br />representative. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: That section 36-115 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 36-115. <br /> <br />Establishing crosswalks between intersections. <br /> <br />The director shall establish and maintain such crosswalks <br />between intersections as the director may determine to be <br />necessary for pedestrian safety, based on engineering studies <br />which show such necessity, or as the director may be directed <br />to establish by resolution of the city council, and shall <br />designate them by appropriate devices or painted marks or <br />signs upon the surface of the roadway. <br /> <br />SECTION 3: That section 36-117 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 36-117. <br /> <br />When pedestrians must use crosswalks. <br /> <br />Where signs have been posted prohibiting crossing a <br />street other than in a crosswalk, no pedestrian shall cross a <br />street other than in a crosswalk. The director is authorized <br />to post such signs at such locations as the director may <br />determine to be necessary for pedestrian safety. <br /> <br />1 <br />
