ORDINANCE NO. NS- 2174 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN NO. <br />43, PERTAINING TO THE MacARTHUR PLACE <br />DEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the city Council of the city of Santa Ana, by its <br />Ordinance No. NS-1941, adopted January 4, 1988, approved Specific <br />Development Plan No. 43 for the MacArthur Place development project <br />located generally on the east side of Main Street between MacArthur <br />Boulevard and Columbine Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the development standards set forth in Specific <br />Development Plan No. 43 require, among other things, that ground <br />level open space be provided within 500 feet of any residential <br />unit on the site; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the city Council now desires to eliminate the said <br />500 foot requirement in order to accommodate development of the <br />subject site in the manner proposed at the hearing held by the city <br />Council on this ordinance; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN that Specific Develmpment Plan No. 43 is amended as follows: <br /> <br />The requirement that ground level open space be provided <br />within 500 feet of any residential unit on the site is <br />deleted, so that the first sentence of item E, entitled <br />"Usable Open Space," under the heading "Residential" in <br />Part V ("Development Standards") shall now read, "Ground <br />level open space must be provided at a rate of 250 square <br />feet of area for each unit." <br /> <br />ADOPTED this ~h day of <br /> <br />1992. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Counc~l/ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS: <br /> <br />Young Abstained <br />Pulido Aye <br />Acosta Aye <br />Griset Aye <br />McGuigan Absent <br />Norton Absent <br />Richardson Aye <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />city Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
