ORDI <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE O~ TI"I~E~T~1 COUN~t'~ OF T_H_E__ <br /> <br />OF THE SANTA ANA ~4UN~T~]'AL CODE <br />TO UTILITY USERS T~rX. <br /> <br />I58 <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Section 35-153 of Cha <br />Municipal Code, is hereby amended to read <br /> <br /> ORDAIN AS <br /> <br /> 35 of the Santa Ana <br />follows: <br /> <br />Seo. 35-153. Definitions. <br /> <br /> The following words and ~ses whenever used in this <br />code shall be construed as .ned in this section. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Person shall all domestic and foreign <br />corporations ;ociations, syndicates, joint-stock <br />companies, ~rtnerships of every kind, joint <br />ventures, , Massachusetts business or <br />common la trusts, and individuals. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />(C) <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />mean the city of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Tele corporation, electrical corporation, gas <br /> water corporation, and cable television <br /> shall have the same meanings as defined <br /> Sections 234, 218, 222, 241 and 215.5, <br />respectively, of the Public Utilities Code of the <br />State of California as said sections existed on <br />January 1, 1993; except "electrical corporation," <br />"gas corporation," "water. corporation," and "cable <br />television corporation" shall be construed to <br />include any municipality or franchised agency <br />engaged in the selling or supplying of services to <br />a service user or service subscriber. <br /> <br /> <br />
