ORDINANCE NS-2204 <br />PAGE 4 <br /> <br />; ia06 <br /> <br />(6) <br /> <br />(7) <br /> <br />(8) <br /> <br />elevation differential may cause low head drainage. <br /> <br />Sprinkler head spacing shall be designed for head-to-head <br />coverage. The system should be designed with pressure <br />compensating heads to minimize runoff and overspray onto <br />non-irrigation areas. <br /> <br />Ail irrigation systems shall be equipped~with a control- <br />ler capable of dual or multiple station programming. A <br />moisture sensor or rain sensing device shall be installed <br />into the system to keep watering cycles at a minimum. <br />The infiltration rate shall be determined by the soil <br />texture and irrigation efficiency. <br /> <br />Controllers must have multiple cycle start capacity and <br />a flexible calendar program. A rain sensor override <br />device shall be required for all irrigation systems. <br /> <br />(9) <br /> <br />A separate landscape meter and backflow prevention device <br />shall be installed for the irrigation system, except for <br />single-family and two-family dwellings. <br /> <br />Sec. 41-1507. 'Landscape design plan. <br /> <br /> (a) A landscape design plan that conforms to the requirements <br />of this article shall be prepared by a registered landscape <br />architect of the State of California on behalf of the project <br />applicant. The landscape design plan shall be submitted to and <br />approved by the Planning Division in accordance with procedures <br />established by the Executive Director of the Planning and Building <br />Agency. The landscape design plan shall demonstrate that estimated <br />applied water use will not exceed the Maximum Applied Water <br />Allowance. <br /> <br /> (b) The landscape design plan shall include, but not be <br />limited to, the following items: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />General site information, including property lines, <br />street names, project name and address, proposed building <br />structure, and existing natural features. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Landscape palette including trees, shrubs, groundcovers, <br />turf, etc. Planting symbols and plant labeling, includ- <br />ing botanical and common name, container size, spacing, <br />and quantity of each plant group shall be part of the <br />legend. <br /> <br />Ail hardscape and water features, fences, retaining <br />walls, grading of slopes, and soils tests. <br /> <br /> <br />
