252 ORDINANCE NS-2231

001-011-27

2111 West 17th

This is a large high-
density apartment
project completed while
the Redevelopment Plan
was being drafted. The
project remains in good
condition today, but
these k£nds of dense
developments have
deteriorated rapidly in
other locations in Santa
Aha. In view of these
experiences, it seems
prudent to retain this
property in the project
area.

399-121-01

1725 West 17th

County Health & Welfare
office. Facility serves
adult male clients whose
presence is viewed as
very negative by
property owners and
occupants in vicinity.
Redevelopment funds
could mitigate perceived
negative consequenses.

007-221-05

1620 West First

Property is poorly
maintained. Cosmetic
improvements could be
funded through
redevelopment, and be
highly visible due to
heavy traffic at this
facility.

These nine properties are all well maintained. They are dispersed throughout the
project area. Excluding them from the project area boundaries would result in "swiss
cheese" islands in the project area, deny future rehabilitation assistance if needed,
and prevent the application of uniform standards if deemed desirable. (Owners or
representatives of the first six properties have expressed a desire to be included in
the project area. Contacts have not been made with owners of the other three
properties.)

002-104-39
399-085-17
00~-071-49
005-071-36

521-525 West 17th

1205 West 17th

1720 West 17th

1010 West 17th

First Interstate Bank

Mission Car Wash

First Christian Church

First Baptist

Exhibit 5
