ORDINANCE NO. NS- 2239 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ADDING DIVISION 5 TO ARTICLE IV OF CHAP- <br />TER 2 OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO <br />PROVIDE THE BOARD OF RECREATION AND <br />PARKS WITH AUTHORITY OVER THE LIBRARY <br />AND CABLE TELEVISION AND RENAME IT <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION, AND <br />ABOLISH THE LIBRARY BOARD AND THE <br />TELEVISION ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana )al Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a division, to be 5, and consisting of <br />sections numbered 2-550 through 2-552 Article IV of Chapter 2 <br />thereof, which said division reads follows: <br /> <br />DIVISION 5. THE <br /> <br />TY SERVICES COMMISSION <br /> <br />Beo. 2-550. The Community 8; =es commission. <br /> <br /> The board of recreatio] parks established pursuant to <br />sections 907 and 908 of the ;ter of the city of Santa Ana shall. <br />be known as the community .ces commission. In addition to the <br />powers and duties set fo~ in Charter section 908, the community <br />services commission shal have the powers and duties set forth in <br />this division. <br /> <br />8eo. 2-551. S¢op; of authority with regard to the library. <br /> The communit services commission shall have the following <br />powers and dutie regard to the library: <br /> <br /> (1) It .ll consider ail matters that may be referred to it <br /> by city council or the city manager, and shall render <br /> recommendation, counsel and advice in regard thereto <br /> may be requested by the referring authorities; <br /> <br /> (2) shall consider all matters regarding programs, usages <br /> and services of the library other than administrative <br /> matters; <br /> <br /> ~3) On its own motion, make such studies, investigations, <br /> plans and recommendations as it may deem necessary; <br /> <br />397 <br /> <br /> <br />
