NS- 2291 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING AND ADOPTING A FIRST AMENDMENT TO <br />THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE SANTA ANA NORTH <br />HARBOR BOULEVARD REDEVELOPMENT PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana (the "City <br />Council") adopted Ordinance No. NS-1637 on July 6, 1982, approving <br />and adopting the Redevelopment Plan for the Santa Ana North Harbor <br />Boulevard Redevelopment Project Area (the "Redevelopment Plan" and <br />the "Project Area"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after due notice, the City Council and the Santa Ana <br />Redevelopment and Housing Commission ("Commission"), performing <br />functions of the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of <br />Santa Aha ("Agency") pursuant to Resolution No. 91-102 of this <br />Council, held a joint public hearing to consider the approval and <br />adoption of a proposed first amendment of the Redevelopment Plan to <br />extend the time limit for the commencement of eminent domain <br />proceedings to acquire property within the Project Area (the <br />"Amendment"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission, following the conclusion of said <br />joint public hearing has recommended that the Amendmentbe approved <br />and adopted; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the city Council has considered and evaluated the <br />Amendment and the Environmental Impact Report prepared for the <br />Amendment, and has provided an opportunity for all persons to be <br />heard and has received and considered all evidence and testimony <br />presented for and against any and all aspects of the Amendment, <br />including environmental impacts; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTAANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: <br /> <br />The Amendment is hereby approved and adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: Based on substantial evidence in the record, the <br />City Council hereby finds and determines that the condemnation of <br />real property continues to be necessary to the execution of the <br />Redevelopment Plan. <br /> <br />SECTION 3: All findings and determinations contained in <br />Ordinance No. NS-1637 remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />293 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
